ACE Nursery School is situated in the heart of Cambridge. The school occupies a large house overlooking Parker's Piece, a large open expanse of grass which provides leisure space for Cambridge people, young and old. ACE is well-positioned for access to colleges, offices, shops, and schools for older children, as well as bus and train transport.
The interior of the nursery school has been modernised, while retaining the essential character of a historic building. The facilities extend onto 3 floors and include:
- a room devoted to imaginative play
- construction toys
- a spacious basement-level eating area for children
- an art room on the first floor with all kinds of craft materials, together with sand and water
- a purpose-built lavatory block and cloakroom
Outside, there is a secure and well-equipped garden which has swings and climbing apparatus as well as a play-house and a sand-pit.
ACE Nursery School is home to up to 40 children at any one
time.
