A Day at ACE Day Nursery
ACE Day Nursery provides a wide range of activities and experiences within the seven areas of learning and development set out in The Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Each day includes two free flow play sessions - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Throughout these sessions children enjoy supervised access to the nursery garden.
Core areas of the playroom are: small world, construction, water play, role play, books, mathematics and the creative and sensory area. Core areas of the garden are: dry and wet sand, a digging planter, vegetable patch, art easel, mark making, sensory fence activities and boxes of open ended resources.
ACE Day Nursery is a nut free vegetarian nursery. A morning snack is provided; children can choose from a selection of fruit and
vegetables, together with a savoury cracker and milk or water. A hot, home-made meal, prepared on the premises by the nursery cook, is served at 12pm along with a fruit or milky pudding. A substantial tea is provided for the children at 4.00pm.
