ACE Alumni
In 2016 (the 50th anniversary of the founding of ACE Nursery School) the ACE alumni association was established and we welcome contact from any ex-ACE families and staff. The aim, every year, is to organise a picnic for the families of ACE alumni in the summer term (usually held at Wandlebury Country Park and coinciding with the annual ACE teddy bears’ picnic). We distribute an alumni newsletter approximately twice per year by email and welcome contributions from ACE alumni and their families. Alumni Social Events
ACE alumni, ex-staff and their families are very welcome at our annual teddy bears’ picnic. The next one is being held on Saturday 21st June 2025, 2-4pm.
ACE Day Nursery 20th Birthday Celebrations
ACE Day Nursery turned 20 years of age in May 2024. We celebrated at Wandlebury Country Park where we were joined by previous managers and deputy managers of ACE Day Nursery, as well as Paula (our previous Headteacher, whose idea it was to set up ACE Day Nursery) and a former Chair of the ACE Parents’ Committee. Our cook, Sharon, made a delicious lemon cake - complete with ACE logo - for everyone to enjoy and we unveiled a framed picture of the three managers of ACE Day Nursery to date. This now hangs near the entrance to the nursery.
ACE Nursery School 50th Anniversary Celebrations
On 25th June 2016, ACE Nursery School celebrated its 50th anniversary. Around 300 people attended the event, including current and former staff, parents and pupils. Mayor of Cambridge, Councillor Jeremy Benstead, was also there to cut the nursery's anniversary cake.
